Space Force Tactical Funding Increase

Space Force Tactical Funding Increase

Samara Aerospace has been awarded a $2M Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI) by SpaceWERX in partnership with the Air Force Research Laboratory and Space Systems Command. This award expands on our current work with the U.S. Space Force to mature Hummingbird, our MSAC-enabled satellite platform, for tactically responsive sensing missions.

Delivered “Cicada” In-Orbit Demonstration

Delivered “Cicada” In-Orbit Demonstration

We built, tested, delivered, and integrated a flight-ready payload (“Cicada”) onto Impulse Space’s Mira satellite, which demonstrated our patented MSAC technology when it launched into orbit November 2025. We delivered this in only 4 months with a team of 7 in a pre-seed round, which is unprecedented speed for a space startup. Our experimental data from orbit is nearly identical to the ground unit, indicating all test were successful.
