Led by a CEO with $200M+ exits and a surgeon-scientist founder with proven commercial success, Oridivus is building the first drug-device platform designed to control inflammation and accelerate healing in oral and mucosal wounds—unlocking a $5B+ market where no FDA-approved solutions exist.
ORD-002 is a first-in-class drug–device therapy designed to actively control inflammation and accelerate healing in oral and mucosal wounds. It combines a biodegradable nanofiber scaffold with a targeted immune-modulating drug, creating a localized therapeutic environment that reduces pain, suppresses damaging inflammation, and promotes true tissue regeneration directly at the wound site. Unlike standard grafts or dressings that passively cover tissue, ORD-002 actively programs the healing process, shaping the immune and cellular response during the critical first days after surgery or injury. The scaffold conforms to the wound, holds the drug in place, and gradually degrades as the tissue heals, delivering controlled, sustained therapy exactly where it is needed—without exposing the rest of the body to systemic drug effects. In preclinical studies, the drug alone or scaffold alone does not produce the same healing response; it is the combination that creates a unique regenerative effect. ORD-002 is initially being developed for oral mucosal wounds such as gingival grafts, cleft palate repair, and surgical defects, where inflammation-driven healing failure causes pain, infection, and costly complications. The same platform is adaptable to other mucosal surfaces including GI, GU, and surgical wounds, making ORD-002 the first product in a broader regenerative medicine platform.
