About

Chemeleon develops BINDS™ (Binding-Induced Nanostructured Dynamic Surface), the world's first ultra-rapid, instrument-free assay platform that delivers lab-precision diagnostics to the point of need, empowering immediate action when minutes and missions matter most. BINDS produces a clear, visible color-change result in under one minute from a single drop of sample, with zero sample preparation, no power, and no reader required. The platform works across a wide range of biological and environmental matrices, including whole blood, interstitial fluid, CSF, nasal fluid, saliva, and even water. It can detect proteins, nucleic acids, and small molecules with a limit of detection of 10 ng/L, a 10-log dynamic range, and 97–99% sensitivity / 91–100% specificity. This versatility enables both clinical applications (traumatic brain injury/concussion, CSF leaks, acute myocardial infarction rule-out) and military/dual-use applications (chemical-biological threat detection), all on the same core technology.
