A passive, all-weather sensor network that detects, tracks, and characterizes every airborne object in real time -- deploying anywhere in minutes on solar and Starlink. Built from the team behind Harvard's Galileo Project instruments, the platform fuses multiple passive sensor modalities with edge AI to provide real-time 3D position, kinematics, and identification of drones, aircraft, and unknown objects. We fill the gap left by active RF and radar systems that are costly, slow to deploy, and blind to RF-silent drones.

VideoA passive, all-weather sensor node that detects, tracks, and characterizes every airborne object overhead — drone, aircraft, or unknown — using multi-sensor fusion (optical, radio, and motion sensing) and edge AI. Deploys anywhere in minutes on solar power and Starlink with no emissions or permits required. Networked nodes triangulate detections into true 3D tracks, with coverage and classification accuracy scaling as more nodes are added. Self-calibrates against stars, the moon, and ADS-B transits to arc-minute precision, and reports honest, fail-safe telemetry on its own health status.

Our first sensor node was deployed 1 month ago and has been operating outside in rain and sun flawlessly. We are now in the process of building our 2nd node so that we can validate our triangulation approach. Having previously done this, we are confident in our approach!
Our customer-facing website has had a makeover and the story is now more clear (hopefully). We still have more work to do on it, but it serves its purpose for the time being! https://freakingaliens.com/
